As previously shared I am a huge Walt Disney World fan (http://verythoughtofyou.blogspot.com/2011/08/happiest-place-on-earth.html), and recently I had the opportunity to return to one of my favorite places on Earth. Walt Disney World has many events all year round, but by far my favorite event of all is the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. It is a MUST for me to go at least once during the month and a half long event. This year it started on September 30 and it is running until November 13. Last weekend a couple of friends and myself did the drive up to Orlando and attended the festival all day on Saturday! I love the Food & Wine Festival because you can choose to eat all around the world and try different cuisines, or drink all around the world trying speciality wines and beverages. It is really up to you how much you want to eat and or drink, so its perfect. To learn more the event please see the website on Walt Disney World: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/epcot/special-events/epcot-international-food-and-wine-festival/
AREGENTINA: Beef Empanada & Terrazas Reserva Carbernet Sauvignon
CARIBBEAN: Ropa Vieja & Frozen Rock Coconut Mojito (SO GOOD)
HAWAII: Seven Tiki Mai Tai & Kona Longboard
If like me you want to try almost everything in the festival i highly suggest sharing with a friend or two. This method seems to be most affordable and the best way to not get super full and/or drunk too quickly. Trust me I have been going to the Food & Wine Festival since i have been legally allowed to drink and i have this method down to a tea! It is the best way to experience the most it has to offer.
La Cava Del Tequila - Tequila Tasting
So Happy in my Tequila Cave!
I truly felt like my day at Epcot Food & Wine Festival passed by way too quickly! I am already planning on going back one more time in November. It's great to be a Disney Annual Passholder, especially when you live in Florida. See you real soon!
I've only been once, but I loved it. I think it's totally worth it if you have the annual pass, but if not it can get super pricey. I mean, paying $65 for entrance and then $3-5 for each food/drink item? Yikes! But I'm glad you had a nice time! You look really "happy" in that last picture! ha!
