It Happens Every Spring

The next two weekends of February in Miami are going to be very enjoyable. A couple of my favorite yearly events are happening, and I couldn’t be looking forward to them anymore than I am. I can understand why these yearly events are scheduled during this time of the year, the weather outside is probably the most beautiful it can be. The highs are in the mid 70s and lows in the 60s with the sun out all day. I don’t think you can find a place in the US that is experiencing more beautiful weather than Miami is right now. This weekend is the 48th Coconut Grove Arts Festival February 19-21, always a favorite.  Grab a beer a yummy snack and walk around the streets of the grove and peacock park looking at art and listening to some great live music. Is there anything about that, that someone would not like? Probably Not.  It is also the Miami International Boat Show February 17-21. Then next weekend my favorite yearly event probably of all time the Food Network's Wine & Food Festival February 24-27. Though mostly sold out there are still some tickets available for the Grand Tasting on Saturday and Sunday,  also the Closing party on Sunday night along with a couple of other events. The closing party is sounding really tempting to me right now.  Guy Fieri is hosting who I love thanks to diner, drive-ins, and dives. Its at the Gansevoort, set at 6pm right as the sun is setting, hmmm there might be some last minute ticket buying. So get out there and have a great time exploring this beautiful city that we live in the next couple of weekends, I know I will. Stay tuned for some more great events coming in March, such as Ultra Music Festival, Swedish House Mafia, Sony Ericsson Open. Its crazy how time flies but with so many good things to look forward too I am not complaining.
