Blog Must Haves

I truly believe fashion blogs today have a sort of power over consumers that I never imagined. Sure I am still a magazine and website girl loving my lucky, people style, and in style (website and magazine), but if you want something to really sell you give it to some of the most popular bloggers on the web and your product will be moving faster than ever before. Besides celebrities who else can sell these items - bloggers! I read lots and lots of blogs and I have my favorites, if one of my favorites is sporting a super cool and chic pair of Karen Walker sunglasses I go crazy trying to find my own pair. Like I have been for the last two weeks, sadly there are no Karen Walker sunglasses in Miami or Florida, so I would have to order them online and ordering sunglasses online is just plain tricky. I want to go ahead and share especially three items that I believe have become as popular as they have because of the bloggers that wear them. At least for me it made me want to buy all these three items. Besides these three there are much much more like jcrew plaid shirts, rose gold michael kors watches, david yurman bracelets, coach classic handbags, j brand jeans, and the list goes on and on. It seems as if one blogger buys one of these items every other blogger must have one of their own to style in which ever way their heart desires.

Bon Voyage

December 31 I will be sailing away on the newest Norwegian Cruise Line ship the Epic. The week long cruise will be taking us to St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and the Bahamas, with a couple "At Sea" days - my favorite. It is going to be a much needed break for every day life and hopefully I can find time to relax, tan, catch up on some reading, and just enjoy having nothing to do. Lately all that has been on my mind is what I will be wearing while on my trip. I keep thinking of colorful swimwear, bright accessories, loose comfy cover-ups, long skirts, and sweaters to throw on top of my bathing suit. Thankfully most websites, especially shopbop, are already selling all the great things that are coming up for spring! Here's what I most want to be wearing on my trip.

Three Terrific Things



Christmas is almost two weeks away (two weeks tomorrow) and I think that means it's about time to be full throttle into the holiday season. To make life even sweeter today is Friday and around here that means executive Friday’s at La Nueva. We have started a little bit of a tradition of going to an Argentinean restaurant, La Nueva, close by my office every Friday for lunch and getting the weekend started with a pitcher of sangria, and not to mention delicious empanadas, and churrasco. So cheers to the weekend. The two other terrific things that I am extra blissful about today are my new Rachel Zoe Platform Pumps that finally came in, and I got them on sale!!! Lastly, equipment blouses, oh equipment blouses why must your fabric feel like butter on my skin, and why must you fit so absolutely perfect that I want every single equipment blouse in every color/print ever made.

In honor of the Holiday Season this week on The Very Thought of You it's gift giving week. Say Hello to my newest obsession - Cambridge Satchel Fluro Yellow 11" W/ Silver Embossing VF. Though I had to wait almost two months for this burst of sunshine it was absolutely worth it. I am quickly realizing this purse / clutch can be worn with almost anything and with any color. It is the perfect size and gives me that pop of color I often need (this being because most of my closet consists of neutrals). I received so many compliments when I wore mine, making me feel like a happy child and almost making me forget how long I had to wait for it.
