Oh Courtney! Or should I say what I am now referring to her as for the rest of the season "What's her Butt”! Did she actually call Shawntel Newton that last night? One girl walks in who is beautiful, smart, and runs a successful business and all of a sudden little miss perfect lets all her insecurities show. Sorry Courtney that you felt so threatened by Shawntel you had to refer to her as what's her butt... who even speaks like that? My five year old nephew maybe and that's maybe!

I’m getting ahead of myself let's start from the beginning. On last night's episode of The Bachelor the women moved locations to one of my all time favorite cities San Francisco! The night started with a one on one date between Ben and Emily. Emily is just pretty enough and sweet enough so I am going to go ahead and say I like this girl. I like even more that she's educated she is after all a PhD student. Which according to Courtney is a turn off to men because men don’t like book smart girls...they like fun girls. Oh Court! Way to give a good message to all those teenage girls that are watching. Their date was the ever present "conquering your fears together" date that we always see at least one of on every Bachelor season. But climbing the Bay Bridge, that's crazy! I would die literally die...there would be no way any Bachelor could get ME to climb the Bay Bridge not Andrew Firestone, or Reid! I have to give it up to Emily she did it! Very Impressive. They later had a romantic dinner with the most beautiful backdrop and it seems as if they have hit it off. This also being because he did give her the rose. For me I don’t know its just Ehh, I just don’t see it yet.

Was it really necessary for the bachelorettes to ski in their bikinis? Is this an actual thing that someone would have on their bucket list or "leap list"? I guess it was on Ben's and he can now scratch it off, because boy did they ski on the streets of San Francisco. I’m glad that he finally spoke to and gave some one on one time to one of the girls I think is very pretty, Rachel and proceeded to give her the rose. I know this crushed Kacie B because she wanted that rose, but I am glad he gave it to Rachel. Now if only ABC would give more air time to Casey S!!! Britney left the show (don’t really care about this) and Shawntel entered the show (do care about this). First Ben had his one on one with Lindzi which I thought was all perfectly adorable, ice cream, Matt Nathanson, and dancing with the pianos. All perfectly romantic I loved it. I also love Ben with Lindzi I think they are super cutie pies. Then Shawntel showed up and people went crazy! Some girl I haven’t even noticed on any of the three episodes to date, Elyse, couldn’t stop screaming "WHO IS SHE" & "YOU DON'T KNOW BEN" the girl looked and sounded like trash! Then Ben actually gives this girl a rose, buddy what are you thinking? Sadly Shawntel didn’t receive a rose, I kind of wanted of her to, but I understand why she didn’t the other girls would have gone completely ape crazy and lost their minds. I mean Courtney might have jumped off the balcony of the building and Elyse might have locked herself in bathroom for five days. Next up Park City, Utah.

Two Years

Today marks two years to the day that I decided to start The Very Thought of You! Though it would not be until April 2011 that my posts became more consistent and I would find my niche, today is the official day to celebrate. You can see my first ever post here. My blog started as a new year's resolution in 2010 to share what I love with anyone that would be interested in reading about it. Since then I have received so much positive feedback and I am so grateful for all the good that has come from it. The Very Thought of You has given me a type of self confidence, which is weird to say but true, that I didn't have before I started it. Funny how just writing about you love can form relationships in your life and introduce you to people / things that you didn't know about before. I am more dedicated today than ever, and I am so excited for what’s to come. Some resolutions for The Very Thought of You this year are: a brand new layout (as soon as I have enough saved to meet with a computer genius), it's first giveaway ever, and hopefully getting many more subscribers (top right is where you sign up to join!) These pictures were taken while strolling though the shops and cafes of St. Thomas. I loved these big green doors and thought they would make for a great background. Though must of the shops were closed I did find one that was open as the photo below shows.

By now most of us know about Pinterest, you know that little website you can get lost in for hours looking at pictures of dream closets, recipes, and outfit photos. I've already shared my love pinterest here and here . Pinterest helped me find inspiration to plan my birthday party this year and my cousin's baby shower. Now I'm looking for ideas to organize my jewelry. My jewelry collection seems to be growing out of control lately and I'm in search of a way to organize all my necklaces and bracelets. Here is what I've found so far that I am thinking of doing.

The Bachelor Season 16 - Episodes 1 & 2

Its back boys and girls! That show we love to trash talk but can not stop watching - The Bachelor! I missed the bachelor yes I did, but  I did not miss Ben Flajnik and his oily/frizzy hair, but I did miss the drama. There is nothing like some crazy psycho girls of the bachelor to make you feel perfectly normal. Sorry I missed the first episode I was away on vacation with no TV, but now I am all caught up, I saw the first episode over the weekend and was ready to watch last night's train wreck.

Let me start off with the good. The good as in Kacie B, Lindzi C, Samantha, Nicki, Rachel, Jennifer, Casey S, and Jaime, yes these are my favorite girls. The ladies that if I was living in the bachelor house I would want to be around and associate myself with. The ladies that seem to have at least some type of morals and class. The type of ladies I would hope a young man like Ben would want to keep around and get to know better. Luckily so far all these girls have roses and are continuing on the Bachelor. Not so luckily for them they have to deal with the bad. The bad as in the very bad as in Blakeley the "VIP cocktail waitress" or maybe hooker really its up to you what profession you want to give her. Courtney the I am too pretty for life model / actress who is determined to belittle and make all the other girls feel horrible while manipulating Ben to fall in love with her. (He is a man and we all know how men fall in love - lets just say most of the time it’s not with their hearts) Lastly Jenna, poor poor Jenna the blogger that is giving bloggers everywhere a bad name and cant seem to stop having emotional breakdowns. Poor Jenna was sent home last night, and we can all just hope that she is now getting the help that she so badly needs. There you have it the good girls vs. the slutty conniving girls. Courtney could not have said it better last night, when she said "It's a war out there" and it is. You have to stand out but you don’t want to be crazy, and honestly I have no idea if I could ever handle being in a situation like The Bachelor so just for that I have to give these girls credit!

We all have to realize that Ben is only 28 years old, I don’t really know how "ready" he is for marriage but he will make for good TV. This being mostly because of the girls that have been cast to surround him, there’s enough tension and drama there for a very satisfying season and I can’t wait to see it unfold. Now for my thoughts on last night's show. I love that ABC moved the girls from LA to Sonoma it gave the show an unexpected quaint homey feeling. I have visited Sonoma and I must say it’s absolutely beautiful and has many perfect locations for the first dates as in the ones that we saw unfold last night. As you might have guessed already I preferred Kacie B's date over Courtney's. Just because I like Kacie so far better as a human being (who wouldn’t when put up against Courtney). We had the two one on one dates and a huge group date that consisted of a play. A play and then some lounging by a pool nothing we have not seen before on the Bachelor, there is always a group date just like this one. Then we had the rose ceremony of breakdowns. I found it especially funny when Ben was walking around the house checking rooms for girls having breakdowns. He found one crouched in a corner and one under the covers - oh boy! The Bachelor producers should really start thinking about adopting a 2-3 drink minimum for rose ceremonies, or maybe an on-site psychologist for these girls. I fear it’s only going to get worse as we get more into the season.

I can’t wait to see what unfolds next week in one of my favorite cities in the US, San Francisco. There is a mystery woman coming that is going to rattle everyone's cages and that’s always fun to see. I hope that some of my favorites like Casey S. and Jaime are given more air time because these young ladies are beautiful but have not been given any time to shine.

Happy New Year Officially! I am back from my vacation and I must say that felt like a long vacation! Even though I returned with an awful cold I'm very happy to be home. I stayed in bed all weekend in and out of a medicine induced coma. This gave me plenty of time to catch up on all my shows especially The Bachelor (posts on that will resume tomorrow just like last season) and Revenge (WOW). I took my new Nikon d5100 along with me on the cruise and did lots of playing around with it. (Thank you to all the photo store employees of the epic who answered my endless supply of questions and helped me so much while I was on the cruise.) I still have no idea what I'm doing or how to really use this beautiful camera, but i plan on taking photography classes and learning. Regardless I wanted to go ahead and share some of my favorite photos/memories from the trip. The boat was beautiful and big, very big. One of the days at sea I literally took a map of the boat and went exploring making sure I saw everything there was to see. Some highlights were the Teppanyaki, Moderno Churrascaria, and La Cucina restaurants, the Cirque of dreams shows, and just relaxing / tanning on a lounge chair.
